Apostolic Tabernacle

The congregation at Apostolic Tabernacle of Shelbyville, IN had outgrown its current sanctuary. The building was cramped, dated, and in need of a facelift. We began the improvements by stripping away the exterior, widening the building, and placing new interior support columns on the wings for each side of the church. Temporary wood wall were constructed on the inside of the church and the exterior block removed. This allowed the services to continue in the church through most of the construction. The new trusses were set in place over the column lines and over the new office space. Apostolic Tabernacle was growing to match the vision of the leadership.

Eventually toward the end of the project, the pews were removed as new drywall was installed. The pulpit and stage area was enlarged to accommodate a larger band, choir, and seating for visiting missionaries. The new narthex would be a common gathering place before and after services as well a warm welcoming area for visitors.

With the renovations complete, the Apostolic Tabernacle sanctuary was doubled in size. A new office area was created for the pastor along with new Narthex, restrooms, and covered drive thru entrance. the building is now handicap accessible, with additional parking and space for the church to continue its growth.
