About Us

OUR family’s general contracting history began in 1965 with Jim Peters. Over the years, three children were born into the business. Working side by side with Jim at the job sites, his experience and knowledge for construction and business were passed along to the generations. In 1994, Jim and his wife Jerri, along with their two sons, Doug and Chad and their daughter Cori, began JDC Associates, Inc. Combining their education, skills and on the job training together with an extended family of subcontractors, JDC associates, Inc. has since been building commercial and institutional projects throughout central Indiana.

As a general contractor, JDC Associates, Inc. has experience in all phases of construction, and is capable of developing various projects from the initial concept to the finished product. Throughout the entire project a member of our family is working with you on your project. The scope of work JDC Associates, Inc. typically performs is basic design, steel erection, carpentry, trim and punch-out detail. We manage all other trades handled by our top quality subcontractors. While maintaining our valued relationships with our former clientele, we are committed to the continued growth in the commercial and industrial markets.

Our company's growth has been steady and consistent in establishing our name in the construction market. Previous projects have included several million dollar sorority and fraternity houses at Indiana University as well as custom homes and commercial projects in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Recently, we have completed a 35,000 square foot facility for Emmanuel Church in Bloomington, Indiana. Other recent projects include an addition and renovation doubling the size of the Apostolic Tabernacle in Shelbyville, Indiana, as well as a multi-purpose facility for Franklin Memorial Church and Morgan County’s Fleet maintenance building.

Most recently we have completed Phase 1 of a three phase project for the Girl Scouts of Tulip Trace Council. The building formerly a John Deere tractor dealership and repair shop was transformed inside and out to become the “Action Place”. After eleven years of working with the Girl Scouts, we are pleased to play a part in providing them a safe, healthy, spacious and appealing building. We are working on Phase 2 and Phase 3 allowing them more opportunity to serve community.

The largest structure we have completed to date is Phase one of the Community Church of Greenwood - The Gathering Place. This project features a 62,000 square foot Varco Pruden metal building with 200-foot clear span interior for an indoor soccer field, two basketball courts, offices, and common areas as well as banquet facilities.

JDC Associates, Inc. is always evolving to better serve our clients needs. We have partnered with Varco Pruden, a leader in steel building manufacturing. Together, we can provide more space for an economical price. This offers our clients additional flexibility in their project designs and pricing.

Our family appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in making your building project a success.
